ICDR INTERNATIONAL and international human rights organizations condemn the detention of Dalit Rights Activist Khagendra Sunar, and his fellow protesters during a peaceful protest demanding the resignation of the Home Minister and the IGP in Kathmandu. ICDR and the international human rights community urge your office to take concrete steps to release of Dalit Rights activist, Mr. Sunar and address their rightful demands, including immediate suspension of and investigation against the police officers who obstructed inter-caste marriage and filed false cases against the couple.
